Student Spotlight: Alex Pollack ('19)

UMD computer engineering junior Alex Pollack has been studying abroad in Hong Kong, China since the beginning of January 2018. Of his experience so far, Alex says, “Hong Kong has really exceeded my expectations. People know Hong Kong for its breathtaking skyline but it has so much more than that. The diverse array of restaurants, the beautiful hikes, the booming nightlife, and so much more have made it the perfect study abroad location. The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has a great Electrical and Information Engineering Department that has certainly complemented my UMD studies to this point. Exploring Hong Kong and Southeast Asia has been amazing so far and I’m excited to see what the next few months bring!”
