Alumnus Haga Joins Faculty at National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan

ECE alumnus Dr. Steve Haga has been appointed as an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan.

Dr. Haga received his Ph.D. in computer engineering from the University of Maryland in December 2005. His thesis advisor was ECE Professor Rajeev Barua (ECE/ISR). He also earned B.S. and M.S. degrees from UMCP. His dissertation topic was a compiler optimization to reduce code size for embedded VLIW processors. He plans to continue research with compiler techniques for embedded processors.
