Four Students Selected as Distinguished Dissertation Fellows

Four Ph.D. students have been selected as ECE Distinguished Dissertation Fellows for the 2007-2008 academic year. The $5,000 fellowships are awarded to outstanding students in the final stages of their dissertation work in recognition of excellence in research. The 2007-2008 ECE Distinguished Dissertation Fellows are:

Mr. Dong Hun Park (Advisor: Dr. Chi Lee)

Mr. Ashwin Swaminathan (Advisor: Dr. Min Wu)

Mr. Ashok Veeraraghavan (Advisor: Dr. Rama Chellappa)

The faculty selection committee consisted of Manoj Franklin (chair), Neil Goldsman, Vic Granatstein, Nuno Martins, and Shihab Shamma.
