Alireza Khaligh was program chair for recent IEEE APEC conference

Assistant Professor Alireza Khaligh (ECE/ISR) was the program chair of the recently concluded 2015 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC).

APEC is considered to be the leading conference for practicing power electronics professionals. The APEC program addresses a broad range of topics in the use, design, manufacturing and marketing of all kinds of power electronics systems. The combination of high quality professional education seminars taught by world-class experts, a full program of refereed technical papers, a unique industry presentation seminar series, an interesting rap session program, a one of kind international micromouse competition, and the best power electronics exposition consistently provides an invaluable education and networking opportunity to power electronics researchers and engineers each year. The value of APEC to working power electronics professional is shown by the ever-growing number of participants.

APEC 2015, with more than 4000 participants, was held at the Charlotte Convention Center, Charlotte, NC, March 15-19, 2015.
