Ph.D. Graduate Davoodi Joins University of Wisconsin ECE Faculty

Azadeh Davoodi

ECE Ph.D. student Azadeh Davoodi has accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Azadeh, who is advised by ECE Assistant Professor Ankur Srivastava, graduates this May. She chose the position at the University of Wisconsin among offers from several other prominent universities.

”I have observed that Azadeh is extremely sincere and diligent towards her research,” said Dr. Srivastava. “I am particularly amazed by the degree of focus she has and the clarity of her thought regarding problem formulation and solution. I am very confident that Azadeh will perform excellently as an academician and researcher.”

This semester, Azadeh was one of only 14 student recipients of a University of Maryland Graduate School Dissertation Fellowship.
