Venue and Attractions

Denver is a metropolitan city, the capital of the state of Colorado and the jewel of the Rocky Mountain area. Due to its elevation of one mile above sea level, Denver is nicknamed the Mile-High City. Downtown Denver has the urban muscle and the Rocky Mountains have the outdoor might, making Denver one of the country's most desirable and exciting places to visit.
  • 16th Street Pedestrian Mall - Located in the heart of downtown Denver, our 16th street conference hotel is steps away from a mile-long pedestrian walkway that houses the best in shopping, dining and entertainment. The 16th Street Mall is lined with outdoor cafes, sparkling glass-walled skyscrapers, popular shops and restaurants, and is provided with free shuttle service.
  • Colorado State Capitol with its magnificent gold-plated dome is also one block from the hotel. You can stand exactly one mile above sea level marked on the west steps, and get a glipmse of snow-capped peaks at its rotunda.
  • Founded in 1893, the Denver Art Museum houses the world's largest collections of Native American and Spanish Colonial art. Located only 0.5 km away from the hotel, the museum's Hamilton Building is an architectural work of art.

  • Rocky Mountain National Park - Colorado's most famous attraction with its 416 square miles of scenic beauty is within 2 hours drive of Denver. Although the great peaks comprise the essence of the park, the delicate alpine flowers, clear lakes, thundering waterfalls, and impressive forests appeal to all the senses. There is a wide variety of activities available ranging from scenic drives and short strolls to ambitious hikes to vertical mountain climbs.
  • University of Colorado at Boulder is about 30 miles northwest of Denver. The city of Boulder is also home to the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), as well as the NOAA's Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL), and NIST Boulder Laboratories.
