Five ECE Ph.D. Students Named Distinguished Dissertation Fellows
Five ECE Ph.D. students have been selected as Distinguished Dissertation Fellows for the 2009-10 academic year. The fellowships are awarded to outstanding students in the final stages of dissertation work in recognition of their research excellence. This year, each fellow will receive $5,000. The winners will be scheduled to present as a part of the ECE Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA) seminar series.
The Distinguished Dissertation Fellows are:
1. Konrad Hsu Aschenbach (Advisor: Prof. Romel D. Gomez)
2. Mustafa Ilker Beyaz (Advisor: Prof. Reza Ghodssi)
3. Athanasios Nicholas Chryssis (Advisor: Prof. Mario Dagenais)
4. Vikramjit Mitra (Advisor: Prof. Carol Espy-Wilson)
5. Avinash Laxmisha Varna (Advisor: Prof. Min Wu)
The committee was chaired by Prof. Victor Granatstein and included Prof. Pamela Abshire, Prof. Ray Liu, and Professor Donald Yeung.
