To advance the public good and to serve the citizens of the State of Maryland, and of the country as a whole, by providing an excellent education in Electrical and Computer Engineering to undergraduate and graduate students; to ensure that its graduates are prepared to engage in the engineering profession in a way that lives up to the highest ethical standards and that keeps them abreast of the latest technological developments; and to conduct innovative, interdisciplinary research.
