Transfer Applicants

All of the programs in the A. James Clark School of Engineering are limited enrollment programs, meaning that applicants have to meet specific gateway course requirements for admissions into these programs. The transfer admissions process for the Clark School of Engineering is handled by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions and the Clark School's Undergraduate Advising Office. We strongly encourage prospective transfer students to contact these offices so they can learn about the transfer admissions process and the requirements for admissions into the Engineering programs.

Transfer Credit Information
The Transfer Credit Services (TCS) at the University of Maryland can provide students with information on courses that can transfer to UMD.  Through the TCS, students can also submit course syllabi for evaluation of courses that do not currently transfer to our institution.

Pre-Transfer Advising

The Pre-Transfer Advising Office at the University provides support to prospective transfer students. Pre-Transfer Advisors help students determine how previous coursework will apply to University of Maryland degrees, identify remaining general education and major requirements, and estimate time to degree.
