Developing a consumer robot brings many challenges centered around the dynamic environment within our customers’ homes. This talk will describe some of the challenges identified early on and those we stumbled upon during development of the mobility and perception stacks. Given the limitations of the compute environment in consumer priced devices, we needed to innovate in all aspects of our technology. Additionally, some lessons learned while developing the personality will be explored.
