The Transfer Credit Services
The Pre-Transfer Advising Office at the University provides support to prospective transfer students. Pre-Transfer Advisors help students determine how previous coursework will apply to University of Maryland degrees, identify remaining general education and major requirements, and estimate time to degree.

The ECE Department recently made a change to its curriculum for both Electrical & Computer Engineering, adding the course ENEE101 Introduction to Electrical & Computer Engineering. The ENEE101 course is designed to introduce students to topics in ECE, including engineering ethics. Students transferring from other institutions may be able to fulfill this course requirement in the following manner, based on the student's situation:
Enroll in ENEE101: Transfer students who have not taken any transferable ECE courses may enroll in ENEE101.
ENEE101 Equivalent: Students who have taken a course similar to ENEE101 may have the course evaluated by sending a copy of the course syllabus to firstname.lastname@example.org.
ENEE200 Option: Transfer students who have taken transferable ECE courses at their previous institution can opt to enroll in ENEE200 Social and Ethical Dimension of Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology at UMD. ENEE200 would replace ENEE101.
