An engineering background can open doors to a dynamic career in Intellectual Property Law. Our law program at Maryland Carey Law looks to provide students with information so they can understand the value of an engineering degree and the vital role it plays in innovation protection involving patents and trade secrets. We hope to provide information on diverse career paths in IP law, from patent prosecution to litigation and licensing. We hope to education STEM students about our specialized program and resources for engineers interested in IP law.
