ECE Distinguished Lecturer Najafi Speaks on Biomedical Wireless Microsystems
On Friday, February 18, ECE presented a lecture by Professor Khalil Najafi, director of the Solid State Electronics Laboratory and expert in wireless integrated microsystems in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Najafi spoke on "Biomedical Wireless Implantable Microsystems (BioWIMS)." A PDF version of his slides from the talk is available here.
His lecture is part of the ECE Distinguished Lecturer Series focusing on the latest developments in monolithic wireless circuit chips for interfacing with multiple neurons in either the central or peripheral nervous systems, and on the challenges in encapsulating these systems for long-term operation in the body. Dr. Reza Ghodssi was the faculty host.
