ECE Ph.D. Student Wins Best Paper Award at ICPR 2006

The title of the award-winning paper was “Segmentation and Probabilistic Registration of Articulated Body Models.” The paper proposes a bottom-up algorithm to estimate the pose of the human body using single or multiple image cameras.
Started in 1973, ICPR is a major biennial event aimed to stimulate research, development, and the application of pattern recognition.
