ECE Undergrad Profiled on NAE's "Engineer Girl" Website

Rose Faghih, a senior majoring in electrical engineering at the University of Maryland's A. James Clark School of Engineering, has been featured on "Engineer Girl," a website of the National Academy of Engineering aimed at encouraging young women to pursue career fields related to engineering.

Rose appears on the site as a featured student profile. The profile highlights Rose's thoughts on choosing engineering as a major, her dreams and goals, her inspirations, and her plans after graduation.

The Engineer Girl website is part of the NAE's Celebration of Women in Engineering project. This project tries to bring national attention to the opportunity that engineering represents to all people at any age, but particularly to women and girls. The Celebration is the first of several projects focusing on gender and diversity in the engineering workforce.
