Alumnus Wade Trappe Earns Tenure at RutgersPh.D. alumnus Wade Trappe has been promoted to Associate Professor with tenure at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Rutgers University. Trappe received his M.S. in 1999 and his Ph.D. in 2002 while studying in the University of Maryland's ECE Department, the Institute for Systems Research (ISR), and the Applied Mathematics and Scientific Computation Program. He was advised by Professor K. J. Ray Liu (ECE/ISR).
His research focuses primarily on wireless security, ad hoc and sensor network security, and multimedia security. He co-authored a book on multimedia forensics with Dr. Liu, Associate Professor Min Wu, and alumna Jane Wang titled “Multimedia Fingerprinting Forensics for Traitor Tracing."
