Nakajima Research Team Receives Patent
ECE Professor Kazuo Nakajima is part of a research team that received U.S. patent number 7,075,827 for their reconfigurable semiconductor device and integrated circuit invention.
The object of the invention is to decrease or eliminate use of a memory element or a memory circuit such as SRAM for storing data in the programmable hardware so that the space used for implementing the device and circuit can be decreased. In addition, the team intends to provide a method for reconfiguring the function and logic capability so that the programmable hardware offers better performance.
Additional members of Dr. Nakajima's research team include former Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation colleagues Kazuo Aoyama, Hiroshi Sawada, and Akira Nagoya, and University of Tokyo Professor Tadashi Shibata.
