Alumnus Sami Tantawi Elected Fellow of the American Physical Society

Sami Tantawi
The APS Fellowship Program recognizes a select group of members who have made advances in knowledge through original research and publication, or made significant and innovative contributions in the application of physics to science and technology.
Tantawi was cited for his contributions to the theory and technology of the production and distribution of highpower rf, including the development of highly over-moded rf components (one is known as the "Tantawi converter"), multi-mode delaylines, and active switches.
