Chellappa To Deliver Distinguished Lecture at UT-Austin

Minta Martin Professor of Engineering Dr. Rama Chellappa (ECE/UMIACS/CS) will speak at University of Texas, Austin later this week for the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department's Distinguished Lecture Series. The subject of the talk, scheduled for February 7, will be "Recent Advances in Face Recognition."

In his talk, Chellappa will discuss video-based face recognition challenges and present algorithms that help allow for variations in aging, illumination, and pose.

Later this month, ECE Affiliate Professor Larry Davis (CS/ECE/UMIACS) will also be a featured speaker for UT-Austin's ECE Distinguished Lecture Series. His talk, scheduled for February 21, will focus on the subject of "Human Movement Analysis."
