Chung, Forte, Stanford, Tjoa Honored at ECE Welcome Back Reception

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Staff Award was presented to Tracy Chung (left) with ECE Chair Patrick O'Shea (right).

ECE faculty, staff, and students were honored at the Department’s annual Welcome Back Reception on Friday, September 5, 2008. ECE Chair Dr. Patrick O'Shea was on hand to present awards.

Dr. Tracy Chung, Director of the Graduate Studies Office, received the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Staff Award in recognition of outstanding service to faculty, staff, and students.

Dr. Patrick O’Shea also honored staff members Steve Norton and Judi Bell for five years of service; Marion Devaney for 10 years of service; Ronald Jean for 15 years of service; and Olivia Goetz for 40 years of service.

The George Corcoran Memorial Award for a graduate student, presented each year to a graduate teaching assistant in recognition of excellence in teaching, was awarded to two students this year: Christopher Stanford and Domenic Forte.

The ECE Graduate Student Service Award was given to last year’s ECE Graduate Student Association (ECEGSA) President Steven Tjoa, in recognition of exceptional service to the Department.
