Dagenais Gives Plenary Talk on Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers

Professor Mario Dagenais was invited to attend Photonics North 2008, the premier optical conference in photonics in Canada, where he gave a plenary talk entitled “Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers: The Next Generation.”

The conference, which was held in Montreal on June 2-4, 2008, covered the topics of biophotonics, fiber lasers and devices, new optical materials and nanophotonics, optical sensors and detectors, optoelectronic and integrated devices and networks, photonic devices and simulation, and ultrashort pulse lasers. This international conference had participation from USA, Mexico, United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Australia, China and Russia.
